Porcelain Royalty

I sketched these guys out and I loved them so much I had to finish them~ Even though I haven't finalized the Porcelain Pony designs yet xD
They're titles are Emperor and Empress, since porcelain dolls were popular in the a France and Germany. I haven't decided on their names just yet but a friend has suggested Porcelina for the Empress c:

When drawing this my idea was that the Porcelain Ponies each had a gem on their chest that gives them life and emotions. The Emperor and Empress power the gem when they are together, which keeps the crystal stable and keeps the Porcelain Ponies emotions under control. When they are apart the gem slowly loses power and the Porcelain ponies emotions begin to randomly change. Like when the gem changes and turns dark blue they all grow sad and depressed, when the gem is red they ponies grow angry and evil. When the gem completely loses power it turns to stone and their gems lose power and all fall void.

But now my friend gave me a great idea to incorporate Automaton and I should have a machine that gives them life So then we thought, each have a keyhole above their hearts which they keep themselves running by turning a key powering them back up. The Emperor and Empress are the one who then have 2 special keys that keep the machine running and without one the machine looses power.
But I'm so confused now and I can't decide which to use, but I really want to try incorporating both of them together but I haven't been able to work it out just yet. > o <

So for now I figured I'd show all of you this since I love them so much~ And I will probably edit this with the new additions later on ^^
So hopefully they'll be finalized soon, so for now I really hope you like these guys~! > w o
